Frank Hasel, Keldie Paroschi, and their guest, Dr. David Trim, explore the preamble that sets the foundation for the 28 Fundamental Beliefs of the Adventist Church.

Together, they work to answer key questions many ask about Adventist beliefs:

What are the 28 Fundamental Beliefs, and why are they important?
What is a creed, and what dangers come with it?

Who has the authority to adjust the Fundamental Beliefs of the Adventist Church?

You will be blessed to explore this topic with them and leave with a deeper understanding of it all.

The questions addressed within this video can help you better understand the importance of both the preamble and the 28 Fundamental Beliefs as a whole. Understanding the reasoning and history behind these beliefs is crucial for developing a firm foundation for your faith.

What are the 28 Fundamental Beliefs:

Who are the Seventh-day Adventists?

A couple of former pastors of mine did sermons on the Fundament Belief. The first one did a sermon titled, "Why Doctrine, just preach Jesus." In his sermon he explained that doctrines, or the Fundamental Beliefs, are made to express who Jesus is and help us have a better understanding and appreciation of what he has done for us. He compared it to having a bowl of ice cream, with Jesus as the ice cream and the bowl as the Fundamental Beliefs. Without the bowl, our understanding of Jesus would be messy.

The other pastor did a sermon series called "Frames." In each sermon Jesus was to be the picture, while the Fundamental Beliefs were the frames. And explained that just as different frames, whether it be a gold frame or wooden frame, make the picture look different, so too do the Fundamental Beliefs give a different reflection of who Jesus is and what he has done.

As for me personally, I have two ways of seeing these Fundamental Beliefs. One is like a building. A building no matter how big or small it is needs both a good foundation and a strong and flexible framework. Jesus is the foundation, while the Fundamental Beliefs are the framework. Without Jesus, the Fundamental Beliefs will fall. Yet without the Fundamental Beliefs the Church, as the building, wouldn't exist and couldn't show who Jesus is to the world.

The other is like a city with skyscrapers. Jesus is the mayor of the city, and the Fundamental beliefs are famous skyscrapers, like the Empire State Building and the One World Trade Center, that reflect the Church, as a city like New York City, as a whole.

For those experiencing audio issues:
I too couldn't hear Frank's audio but I connected my cellphone to the car through an aux cord and it sounds fine.

I cannot hear Frank through my cellphone's speaker nor through Bluetooth.
