Din is literally one of the most important pieces in all of the people's stories we see. Just because Din doesn't lead the Mandalorians (Something he DOESN'T WANT TO DO) doesn't mean he is not important or that he has no purpose, literally, everything Bo Katan is achieving and going through is thanks to DIN, if it wasn't for him, Bo wouldn't see the mythosaur, she wouldn't join the cult, she wouldn't recover her self confidence, and she wouldn't be sent, alongside DIN to unite the Mandalorians, in fact, she would probably be dead in the bombing on her home if it wasn't for him, so what you all need to do is stop saying Din is not important, it's a cheap way to cry about dumb shit, when in reality, if you think about it, Din is the reason everything is happening, without Din, there wouldn't be uniting Mandalorians and a road to recover their culture and planet.

This is kinda out there but I think Grogu will be the one to tame the mythisor. Remember how grogu calmed the rancor.

One to unite all won’t be enough. The children of the watch or those who live by the old ways don’t seem to see the dark saber the way others do. Din Djarin will tame the mythosaur with the help of grogu and he will lead the children of the watch

I think people are underestimating Din's role. He's clearly playing the part of kingmaker, which is nothing to sneeze at. Helping securing your liege's throne is a pretty big job.

He had no purpose prior to obtaining the darksaber other than being an interesting character who leads us to other interesting characters and stories, and the show was great.

why is everyone saying din serves no purpose now lmao. he's literally the only reason any of this is happening. without him none of the progress made by literally anyone in the show would be happening. he most definitely is significant and there is obviously more to come with him.

Actually Din won it back in episode 6 as the nursing utility droid that defected defeated Bo in combat and Din defeated the droid!

I can't shake the feeling that Din will end up with the Dark saber again. The way this series is playing out is setting him up in way that won't leave him any options. Remember Bo told Grogu that Din is proud of him, just like her father was of her. That was not a throw away line. Plus there is much of Din's past prior to becoming a foundling that hasn't been revealed. The red clothing both him and his parents wore seems significant.

I think Din's legacy is that he is going to become a legend among his kind. While Bo Katan will become the leader of Mandalore and a living legend in her own right, Din is going to become a sort of myth, like a sheriff/ranger who shows up to save the day. I feel like that is how he would want it, he seems like the type of person who doesn't want to be famous but ends up being famous anyway so rumours and stories are what carry his name. That is how I imagine the show is going to go but that is just my opinion, I'm not a writer or anything.

Let’s just point out that she had been riding his coat tails since season 2. He’s doing all the heavy lifting in this mandalor mythology.

Din has always been an interesting character in his own right who’s journey has been a conduit to a wide range of other story arcs
Din will have further things to do and people to meet…..just let the story develop, patience young Padawans 🙄

Even though I was mixed on the side-quest in this episode, it feels as though the show is hinting at Din's leadership abilities. It's just his attitude that is holding him back. He took the initiative in most of the negotiations he and Bo partook in, and i think while Bo is more experienced and has a better understanding of how the Galaxy functions on a political and systematic level, Din has more experience in other areas. I think the show is gradually setting him up to become the next leader of Mandalore. He just lacks the motivation for it.

They were setting Din up, but decided to 180 and go back. He can lead, he convinced everyone to go to Nevarro

There has to be a twist at the end of season where it focuses back on Din since he defeated Moff for the Dark Saber where Bo lost it to Moff. Maybe he'll get forced to wield and master it for Grogu

Din will get back Darksabre. Don't jump too quick to conclusions. I know it's Disney, but through entire episode Din was taking more and more initiative and without him Bo-Katan would be nowhere, she wouldn't even see the Mythosaur. He is the cataclyst for changes. And Bo wasn't really sure about taking the sword. She changed and saw on her own eyes what kind of Man Din is. She indirectlt said she wouldn't fight him. The Merc-mandos made it clear they don't acknowledge him as Mandalorian and he having a sword wouldn't change it. So he gave some sleezy loophole just so other Mandalorians could join and their Fleet. Din is thinking outside of box and gets things done. If it wouldn't be for him they would return empty handed and their mission would be a failure.

I think that Din is going to dedicate his efforts to support Bo-Katan in taking back Mandalor. Most of what he’s done was to establish a strong foundation for future generations which definitely includes Grogu, and what better place to do that than on Mandalor itself? Of course the only way to do that is to unite All of the conflicting factions as One People, which Bo-Katan is primed and ready to do.

My gripe is that they have now removed the last unique weapon from Din, his iconic rifle? Gone. His Beskar spear? Gone. The Darksabre? Gone. They made him stand out from the standard Mandalorians we saw in the past, both cannon and Legend, now he's just another dude with a gun... Disappointing.

The reason Bo Katan didn't take the saber from Din Djarin is she correctly assumed since Din was ambushed it wasn't taken in an honorable way or fair fight. So it doesn't belong to her and she knows it.
