In the protection analysis you were using the BR-350SP Shell that can penetrate the armor but in the game you used the BR-350A (MD-5 fuze) shell that can't penetrate the armor

in the test you are using br-350sp shells (0m 90mm pen) and on the game br-350a (0m 78mm pen) thats why there is no penetration.

One time with the 88 mm german truck i got jump scared by a KV-2 right on the side of an alley.
I shot randomly for the fear without aiming, i hit that part, maybe more in the upper part near turret ring.
I oneshotted him, and probably made him angry.

Tfw you thought you were using the right ammo goes to show we need to double check our loadouts before hitting the battle button.

Always shoot the front of the turret just below the gun, its flat and only like 75mm (and usually pointed at you)

Wrong shell but still this is such warthunder moment. The number of times i trusted that analysis and the number of times i got killed because of that is just absurd.

This vehicle also has an ammo rack.

А чего ты ожидал? Надо было взять хотя бы парочку БР-350СП, которые ты в анализе защищенности использовал. БР-350А КВ-2 с трудом в борт-то возьмет из-за 78мм пробития в упор. Ты бы этот лючок до конца катки ковырял. И вообще, не проще ли было ему в лоб башни под орудием дать? Там большая площадь, а брони всего 75мм под прямым углом.

I shot through that place all the time and kills or at the very least immobilised the tank. If that fails, the turret ring area or the turret neck is a nice alternative.
