This point is as old as the sun and being made all over the internet, yet it remains valid: if the processed signal is about 5 db hotter than the unprocessed, as it is in this case (referring to both Massive Passive and Variable Mu engaged) you are hearing more of the level difference than the actual difference sound. The processing is of course still audible level-matched, but not nearly as dramatically so. Not a very objective way of demonstrating this regardless - which does not mean I don't aspire to own these eventually btw.. 🙂

Thanks for mentioning you were going into the Massive Passive. I was wondering about the order for the first half of the video. I listened with headphones and to my ear the midrange came forward with such warmth and clarity. I'd like to add I really enjoy your UVI Devinity expansion!

Would LOVE to see/hear this again with proper level matching. Anything louder is going to "feel" better. Can you level match perfectly and do it again?

Sorry to ask the same question I asked on another video😅, but which version of the Vari-Mu is Richard using ? T-Bar Mod or the stock regular 5670 version ? I'm about to purchase a Vari-Mu very soon to use mainly on my Mix Buss and I can't decide if I buy the regular one or the T-Bar Mod...🤔

Of course it sounds better, it's 2dB louder when engaged! Not a fair demo at all.

The mix has an annoying top end. Way too shiny.
