Just so you know, you are my go to guitar channel on YouTube. For me you are the best! You have it all. Lessons, reviews and no bs and no agenda.

Fuzz cranked all the way and guitar-volume manipulation is the secret sauce of Fuzz Faces.

Something kinda cool I found with this pedal the full sized Hendrix fuzz face is that it does a really good job getting a tony ayomi tone.

Hi Marty, some nuances to note from an owner of this.
For that broken fuzz sound, you're bang on. Clean amp and max out the pedal dials is the way to go. But there are great sounds to be had when the amp is on the verge of breakup, the pedal reacts differently. It also responds fantastically to backing down the volume pot of the guitar to get some hairy cleans and in between sounds.
Also interesting when you add an EP booster style pedal afterwards, it lifts the headroom nicely.

That’s exactly what I want to sound like with a fuzz pedal. Great sounds and riffs Marty. Thanks!

Pretty cool gear. When you started jamming out at 12 O'clock, I counted how many "stank faces" as I like to call them when jamming. I had a count of 25 . So awesome when you're just in a zone and playing. Thanks for this clip Marty!

Sounds great and thanks for showing me how to play that "Foxy Lady" Hendrix lick. Hey, that would be a good lesson! : )

Dunlop owns MXR and Way Huge. Jeorge Tripps (guy behind Way Huge originally) is a project manager and etc. over all 3 brands for Dunlop these days. He has stated that the MXR Classic 108 fuzz/mini fuzz are essentially the same fuzz face circuit as the Dunlop FMM3 Hendrix Fuzz Face Mini. One could note the similar paint jobs on the pedals. Obviously, the MXR versions have an added buffer that either brightens up the fuzz face or makes it play nice with a wah pedal in front of it (also makes it work better with humbuckers), and they are not in a round enclosure.

I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my MXR Classic 108 mini that I bought online yesterday. It's $99.99 new, I prefer the rectangular enclosure, and the addition of the buffer is a plus to me. Anyhow, thanks for the video. A lot of videos like this help me decide on pedals and such where I can't try them out personally at a local music store.

Hey Marty! I think it would be sweet if you reviewed some tc pedals. They have
Some affordable budget pedals.

Hey! Awesome video. I think your clean amp sound should be way louder and should have some reverb aswell so you could aim for a better unity sound with the pedal and then crank the fuzz up. Also use the volume knob on the guitar with these settings <3

They claimed they based this on a 69-70 fuzz face, yet it lacks the distortion of one from that Era, and the pedals own eq is all wrong.

What they actually did was make a fuzz face that caters to modern tastes, less gain, scooped mids.

The dark blue mini has the same transistors, same hfe, yet it produces way more distortion, just like the old ones, and the eq is very close to the old ones.

It does two things. You crank the knobs of the pedal for max fuzz, but then you can roll off your pickup volume pot(s) to get fairly clean or less gain from the fuzz. The blue one is the silicone transistor version. The germanium transistor versions are red. Well, a third thing it probably does is oscillate with a wah pedal, but throwing a buffered pedal between them such as any Boss pedal bypassed lets them play nice.

Marty, you may have just given yourself a new nickname. :)
Thanks for the review, who doesn't like to get "fuzzy"?
