Does Mink Oil Darken Leather Boots?

Does mink oil darken the leather on your boots? Yes. Yes, it does.

It darkens mine a bit the first day but after it dries really well it seems like the same color as before.

The amount of darkening has varied for me but I do like the way it wears after applying mink oil. Just tried Bick 4 conditioner as well and gave my iron rangers a very nice saturation

I know someone who uses a wax toilet ring and applies that to his boots! Lot cheaper than mink oil!!
