Starting a PERFECT New City in Cities Skylines

Cities Skylines gameplay today starting a new city with the perfect starting layout! With the new Plaza and Promanades DLC and the ability to make walkable cities I want to actually make a utopia! This first episode of the let's play will be more of a 'Cities Skylines Beginners Guide' as I show off how to start a city and my future plans for it.

I recommend using the precision engineering mod to get precise measurements for a city like this

You should definitely look into the mixed-use buildings on the workshop. They allow you to put shops on the ground floors and residential above to reduce how far people have to walk.

Hey Kibz, people can use their bike on the pedestrian roads you do not need extra bicycle paths.
Also every square of the pedestrian zone does cost money you can see that in the pedestrian zone info.
If you enable the policy „Deliver Everything“ the whole district only needs the service points to get goods and trash taken care of that way you truly can make a ped only city with no traffic at all.

Hey Kibz, I am excited to see your utopia! I wanted to say I hope one day you make a "fantasy" city using the terraforming and anarchy tools, making one of those cities that defies the laws of gravity and physics but actually works well. Like, going across plateaus and mountains. The ones you see people do as a joke, but with actual order and planning to it!

You should use modern city center theme for the shops, it will make them fit better with the high trees and the "hidden" tram tracks 👍

8:00 Kibs, by painting the pedestrian area over everything you disabled all vehicles from moving things around in the area you already had. No trucks moving industry to make money, shops not getting supply to sell to your people, et cetera. You went so far in the red because all of your businesses weren't doing business, and none of your residents had anything to spend their money that you could tax.
