Elsa 🐶 and her VW T6 secured by Bear Lock🐻.

'Croeso i Gymru' yep we have travelled the other way to North Wales !
I promise we don't pick customers for location and their dogs- we just believe in making our service work for every single one of our customers where ever they may be. Elsa the cockerpoo was fully in charge today ( I think she is most days, judging by her travels on @cockerpoo-camping).
This video today shows a little of what we do and how it works. We want you to see that it can't be overridden by a computer, that your vehicle looks virtually the same at a glance with our security system ,most of all - it is owner friendly in all ways that may have crossed your mind!. So much that Elsa the cockerpoo has now changed the song from 'Let it go' to 'Come on lets go'

Had the lock installed on my T5 auto trip, great job carried out by the guys. The care of the vehicle as you saw in the video was exactly what happened and I would totally recommend having one fitted.

Looks like a beautifully simple design lock... The mechanical system seems legit...

The key and the cylinder not so much from a "distance" in the video. Are you sure there is no way to 3D copy the key by simply moulding it in synthetic clay? And how does it stand against a decently trained lock picker?

Hear me out please;

Every lock and mechanism is there to be broken, it just needs to witheld a professional thief for long enough so he doesn't feel comfortable taking his time. A professional thief will open every lock he likes, but is he is in an area where time and noise is of a concern to him you "win" by postponing him long enough hell reach that limit...

I guess most campervans are stolen by a highly trained and skilled thief, its not easy to sell a motor vehicle that is stolen within Europe, and most European campervans are in the wealthier nations far away from the outer borders of the EU...

So we can expect the thief that will eventually try to steal your campervan will be a trained professional. The Bear Lock has been around for some time now, and has been installed in lots of expensive campervans within Germany, the UK, Denmark and the Netherlands.

If a Bear Lock cylinder is pickable by a highly trained lock pick, and its has been around for a decent amount of time I would suspect most camperthiefs will have trained to become a highly trained lock pick for these kind of locks specifically. It's his job, and most people with a job will need to train a new skill some times in their careers. So he probably did like most of us would do to keep on being good in our jobs.

Im not trying to be an asshole here screwing over this product. These are my honest concerns and if these are taken away ill probably get one myself, but with these concerns its far to expensive to just try one...
