Some of you guys miss the point. Not everyone is willing to build an engine. I've been down the buy a used block, pay the machine shop to deck, align bore, and blueprint short block (of course assembly too), and then find heads (2.02 for SBC), intake, carb, headers, ignition, and I realized very quickly, and once I was past the point of no return, that I should have just started with a nicely built reliable engine WITH A RELIABLE WARRANTY.

This 615 build leaves you wide open for another easy 100hp - thinking cam and tune would be the first thing to do. Yes, warranty is done at that point. So what the heck, enjoy your 615hp engine, run the crap out of it for a year or so, then by that time, the aftermarket will be more robust and you'll have more choices.

It's tempting for me. At the same time, I'm caught between going more old-school and building an FE or a bored and stroked Windsor. All I want is a nice clean 600-650 engine hp. I definitely want a great sounding engine, especially idling. I have no idea what this new Megazilla will sound like - and I'm not expecting much either. But there's no question that the Godzilla is a great platform and we're going to see big things happen with it. The packaging is especially appealing.

Thank you for what you do sir! We really need more people like you covering stuff at pri. There is so much to see there and not enough people walking around doing interviews and videos like yourself.

I was so excited to see this come out from Ford as a crate engine. But…. sub 20, 000.00. I hope that includes a 6 speed manual or automatic transmission and the computer to run it. Please don’t price this engine out of reach for the average car guy that wants a factory - built by Ford Crate engine.
Thanks for always Great Content!!!

Wow, Evan Smith! I remember you and Rich Holdener from Muscle Mustang and Fast Ford's... Had a big stack of them in the '90s. Glad you're still around!

Would love to see this dropped in a 67-68 Fastback

This thing will make 700 N/A with a different cam. It has more torque than HP, with a different cam, e85 and a point to two in compression it will be a monster

Q1 2023 for the engine control pack….. I’ve been sweating on any news since my Godzilla came 18 months ago!
Hopefully we see it shortly!
Great videos guys!

Indy Power Products said in summer they will have a ignition by Xmas to run a carb on the Godzilla. Any news on that?

Great replacement for my 521. It's lighter and smaller for a fox or early Mustang swap. And relatively plug and play reliable.

The sub $20 was disappointing. You still need a control pack. Super Duty transplant still the way to go!

Great coverage Evan. It really seems like you are on top of the game with the Godzilla information

Thank You guys... Perfect for my Superformance Cobra I am thinking about getting. Just looking for a dress up manifold or something??? 600+ horsepower is enough for me..looking for a reliable, smooth higher revving V8 without blowers or turbos.

Just curious, what about the older "385" motor / 429, 460 ????

So I’m hoping “sub $20k” is just a broad guess so no one looks dumb if it ends up costing more than they originally thought but there’s a lot of work in this not to mention the prices of other intake manifolds on the market. I’m hoping to see a price of $14-15k on this one

What’s the deck height and head width of the 7.3? Will it squeeze into a 65-66 mustang?
