I did it! I finally did it! I did have to use savestates and the gameshark codes showing my speed (i played it on project 64 with a logitech F310 controller), but still it feels like a MASSIVE achievement! I have been at it since a few months back, and gave up after managing to perform the lobby blj and reach the basement but the basement glitch seemed impossible to me. But with persistence and literally HOURS of practice and perfect timing, as well as luck, i managed to build a speed of 406 which got me clipped right through the center of the DDD and onto the back side! For a few seconds i went fucking ballistic, and i somehow still havent grasped how i was actually able to do it. First came the 1 star clear, and about a day or two after i got the 0 star run. Just a little note for the people who are still on this to this day. If you are like me and just love this game but you are pretty mediocre on it, maybe decent at best, and wonder if its worth it to spend countless hours trying to do this, for a few minutes of absolute bliss....YES it is worth it cause you will feel like a literall god afterwards. This is one of the videos who kinda kept me sane during the whole process, so thank you. Oh and one last thing....DONT underestimate going neutral just before you press left on the final mario's landing, it makes all the difference cause you can reserve a shitload of speed. I have heard it ideally needs about 420-430 speec but i managed to do it with as little as 406 so i guess its also very much luck based. Good luck!

Wow, the BLJ spot in the basement is _brutal._ The spot in the foyer wasn't too bad, but... jeez, this sideways stair BLJ is difficult. I can only chain up to 3 BLJs before I break free, and I've been working at it for a while XD

I got through the first glitch after about 12-13 hours spread out across two days, but then I saw the second glitch and I think I gotta give up lmao

Heres a tip if you are stuck on the first glitch, on the second jump in the double jump try to move mario to the right a tiny bit

Out of about 500 attempts, only once have I got past the first star door. I used a savestate on that corner. Most failed attempts were me failling to BLJ, and 5 were me getting past the entrance door but teleportng to the wrong room. That stair BLJ can go to hell, though.
