Top tip for wet weather riding Freddie.
Hiking gaiters! Cheap and easy to put on and take off. When your waterproof trousers ride up your boot or leg the gaiters protect your boots and lower half of your leg. ☘️

Quick tip Freddie. Put ALL your sleep system and clothes into the waterproof roll top bag. Not your tent. Doesn't matter if the tent gets wet. and if you are packing it away wet you need to keep it away from the dry stuff. Good luck!!

Morning Freddie, just returned from a cycling trip from Geneva to Martigny via Chamonix, the roads and twistiest were amazing along with the views, I’m a 67 year old who hasn’t had a motorcycle since the early 80’s, having been watching your and Itchy’s videos, I’m now in the market again.
Enjoy Scotland, I cycled there about 10 years ago from Lands end, again superb changing scenery.

Freddie ....you truly are an inspirational character, when most riders are thinking of putting their bikes away for the season, oh no, not Freddie, he's off out to but a tent and ride through the rain doing the west coast of Scotland 🤷‍♂️😅 I absolutely love your videos and enthusiasm, I always think one day you'll be snapped up by Top Gear or someone 😅, keep up the good work 👏

I’m in awe you managed to do all that in a white t and not get oil all over it.

Freddie, the change of colour would occur even if you used any motor oil. That in itself isn't the measure of the effectiveness of Lanoguard, it is the fact that it stops the advance of the rust completely. It doesn't cure rust or remove it.

The best thing any rider can invest in in my opinion is a merino wool base layer. Wool is a miracle material, the lanolin naturally in it makes it excellent at comfortably keeping heat. Even if you wind up sweating in it, wool retains its thermal properties unlike synthetics. Merino is so soft it doesn't (for the majority, anyway) irritate at all. Cotton is garbage for under layers.

I can confirm Lanoguard is a great protective coating for the underside of your Jeep, I have used it on my 1964 Hotchkiss Jeep. Apart from its environmental benefits you don’t have the issues with other products which sting when you get them unintentionally in a cut or strong lasting unpleasant aroma on you, which doesn’t go away quickly. Good choice Freddie.

I hadn’t heard of Lanoguard; looks great! I don’t like to see rust underneath the car. It looks like the best solution 👍🏼👍🏼

Freddie, camping is a mind set! Getting away from your day to day. Escape from the routine, enjoy the quiet and piece from the Nature. I am doing it for 30+ years and I love it. Getting old made my wife don’t want to do it with anymore but there is some magic moments when you are camping… just switch off the right button.

A good tip I saw on another channel (I think Moto Trek) was to try to use the tools you carry when doing a service. Helps you know it’s all still there and correct.

Watching this while sipping coffee before taking the Thunderbird Commander for a rip around the Austin hills. Cheers Freddy!

Cleaning the bike chain adjustment check and lubricant plus oil and filter! I like this new Freddie ❤ plus adding rust protection spray 😊 way to go Freddie… you show them how it’s done ✔️

Another thumbs up for Lanoguard from me. Coated the underneath of my Jimny with it and a year later it still looks brand new underneath. Just note that your vehicle will stink of sheep for the first couple of weeks. Have a great trip Freddie and if you get a chance get over to the Isle of Arran - just back from there myself and the weather was glorious.

Hi Fred, I have been using this for over 10 yrs on my 17 yr old Citroen Berlingo and it’s almost perfect underneath. I do it biannually. I buy polythehene to put under the car as it drips everywhere. The mot station are astounded at the condition of my car. I also use the grease and paint brush too. Not used on bikes but is a sound product, don’t think stops rust but makes it last longer for sure.
Cold oil change - noooo. Have a good trip

Hi Freddie
Just got back from a 1300ml trip round scotland .Hit the biggest pothole on the Isle of Skye and put a massive dent in rear wheel, had to hammer it back and use 5 cans of tyre repair to get home. Beware. My 2013 865 performed great though and mainly sunny weather. Good luck..
