Creating and Managing Groups on ActivTrak

Welcome to ActivTrak training. In this video, we will show you how to create groups, manage group members and review overall group administration.
And it's important to note that ActivTrak supports manual group creation as well as active directory groups. But in this video, we'll be focusing on manual group administration.
So why use groups in ActivTrak, ActivTrak groups Are useful for viewing specific team's data as well as allowing team leads to just view their team's data.
It is also useful for group productivity classifications, allowing you to mark certain activities as productive for one group, but unproductive for another.
And lastly, you can set team benchmarks and goals based on groups. So to create groups within ActivTrakk, you'll want to navigate to settings users and groups.
Now that you're on the Groups page, you can click create a group in the top left corner of the screen. When we click that we'll have the option to either add a new group manually or upload an existing CSV file to create those groups.
We're going to click on the new group and then enter our group name. Once we enter the name, we can click add members.
And from here we can select the members that we would like to add to this group. So I'll go ahead and select a couple here and then I'll go ahead and click next.
It's going to allow You to review the group members that you've selected. And then once you click create, you'll go ahead and actually create that group on this screen.
We can review the group that we've just created in the top left corner. We can change the name of the group by clicking on the pencil icon.
We can add additional members by clicking add member and again, scrolling through the list. And if we need To remove a member from this group, we can select the member and click on the remove button at the top.
Once we do that, We'll receive confirmation that the user was removed From the group. If you have additional questions about group administration, feel free to check out our help center or reach out to our customer success team.
