track 15/15

from "the first glass beach album" available here:

lyrics:
we watched the smoke clouds rise until we couldn't see the stars
and everyone was down below breathing in the fumes
one day we'll meet up on the moon and then we'll be ok
and we'll be together again

blue orchids bloom
through the city streets at night
into starlight we call out
"we're still here, can you hear me?"

from up above the moon
she's bathed in burning neon lights
as the starlight just fades out
there's no tears no celebration

blue orchids bloom
through the city streets at night
into starlight we fade out
there's no tears no celebration

from up above the moon
she's bathed in burning neon lights
as the starlight just fades out
there's no tears no celebration

My friend yesterday called this song “a song you would listen to while driving off a cliff” so I don’t know what to do now.

No joke, my hardcore Terraria character died while 0:53 started, and I'm not even mad because the timing was just too good

The final song of the album just gives, a end of life mood. Really awesome album, I loved nearly all the songs!

Listened to this song walking the streets of a locked down Amsterdam on vacation just before last Christmas, the calmness of the beautiful rivers at night, being in such a magical city, all coupled with this song made for a truly blissful experience.

I had to DM the guys on twitter right there and then for making such a beautiful melody.

The very last bit of vocalizing together makes me feel like I'm being told that at least i can be grateful that, when the end of the world comes, there truly won't be any suffering anymore.

I like that crying can be viewed as something that isn’t sad, or bad. It can be actually very happy, just finding a quiet place, maybe some soft music, and just weep. It’s melancholy, but it helps a lot with processing feelings, and it can feel very good to just let it all out, release that tenseness and negetive energy

Having what I call “depressive episodes” feels very nice sometimes, just being able to take everything in, and drop it. Just laying down, staring at the ceiling listening to slow playlists, and just zoning out.

This is one of the most insane vocal and instrumental performances I've ever heard

This song is extremely good
There are very few songs that truly speak to me and even fewer that have pulled tears from me
How the fuck does this not have 10M views by now
Excellent song gushing with emotion while driving a stake into my cold dead vampiric heart

Man, idk if it was intentional or not but I love how after the song it gives you a moment to just- sit and take it all in

0:53 Words can’t explain the feeling this powerful treasure holds. Glistening vocals, stinging lyrics, and heart bashing instrumentals. No image could depict the wild emotion this sends. No face could capture the soul crushing moment this wraps me in. I have an odd fixation on this beauty

thank you. i discovered this album in a very opportunate time (over 3 years ago..?) and immediately fell in love with the style. there was something that always made this music stand out for me, but i couldn't tell what, exactly... i could feel the amount of soul put in the instrumentals and had never heard singing that evokes such unprecedented feelings in me - it's just... so raw. so raw and real. though it felt like there was something else, as if i had always known about these songs, as if they were a part of myself i hadn't been able to see before.
i never looked into the lyrics back then. at one point i stopped listening to the band and only came back recently. today i know why it resonates with me so much. i'm not exaggerating when i say this absolute piece of art is one of the few things that've kept me alive on this earth. you godsent artists.

I listened to your guys' Spotify account on shuffle and this came on. Absolutely blissful, and that outro reminds me of Edit The Sad Parts by Modest Mouse, beautiful quiet to let you think about the whole album. 10/10, banger
