I’m not sure if the original commentary set is still in print, but you can find it on the used market. Also, the New Interpreters is available from Christian book . Com among other places. To contribute to New Life, please click the link below and press donate. God bless!

Hi Pastor !! I am so glad to find your review of this ! I just bought the whole 12 volume set for $30 at a neighborhood library sale. I wasn't too sure what I'd found, but couldn't resist. It's a treasure, evidently, and good to know it's Methodist. Thank You.

I have my Old interpreters Bible set and get a lot from it. Raised a Catholic, I had no idea such a detailed set was ever available. Was thrilled to discover it. So many different theologians have helped write it. Many great articles to support the scriptures too. Also the 5 volume Dictionary is very good. I am thinking of updating with the New Interpreters Bible.

I picked up the volume with Acts and Romans in it a few years ago at a Church yard sale...for 25 cents. It's interesting how they back up baptism in Jesus name as the original way. Also, since it was written in the 50's, their references go back to books in the 1800's, some of which were standards at the time that we should look into today.

Between the two is the ‘90s New Interpreter’s Bible. Unlike the newest (2015) version, it includes the NIV (1984) and the NRSV. Recommended.

The Didache says baptize in the name of the father, son and Holy Spirit and I think it is a few years older than the interprets bible

Hey i have a question... Can you write me what does this book say of 1 Corinthians 1:2. Does it say something like "to call on the name of our Lord means to confess his lordship rather than pray to him"?
Thanks in advance :)
