24 pens against argentina with Martinez as a gk: 50% save effectivity. If you know something about futbol, you know that that % is INSANE.

Martinez is currently the greatest goalkeeper in Argentina history.

Dibu doesn't need to change. Not every footballer needs to be a copy paste version of each other like a factory default. Modern football may have forgotten it but football had the most colourful and unique characters.

The fact that di maria wasn’t playing enough is wild . . Because di Maria is the next player to actually take on opp tho.

Keller is a 🤡 criticizing Dibu, who has literally won everything for his country being the main character

Prob Messi's worst game this year. Shouldve not have him start if he is still recovering from injury

Before semifinal and final, this sort of nerve-racking match will make Argentina stronger

Emi Martinez is one of the best penalties stoppers in the world right now

Caicedo had an underwhelming Copa America? He has been 1 of Ecuador’s best players, if not the best, & hence why he got 2 POTM awards in this tournament

Keller who’s never been there telling Wold Cup and Copa America winner Dibu Martinez to act like he’s been there. Go back to talk about “soccer”.

I can’t count the amount of games that Messi won absolutely by himself ever since 2006.
We’re in 2024. Give the guy a break and leave him alone.
I think being the best in the world for over 15 years not only is unheard of, I think it’s more than enough.
He’s 37 and he’s injured.

Caicedo has easily been one of the best players in the entire tournament. In no way has he been underwhelming. In fact, he’s been excellent for a large part of the year.

Emiliano Martinez is the unsung hero, a God's gift to Argentina National Football Team

These men talked all negative things about Messi when he missed a PK and not very active during the game. I can't imagine how they would talk about him if Argentina lost to Ecuador today.
The truth is throughout the game, everybody (both his team and fans) waited for a magic moment that Messi would do for his team. To me, today Messi didn't do any magic. That's it.
You guys questioned why the coach didn't replace him. If you guys know better than Scaloni, why don't you guys help your national team to win a WC?
Ecuador played a very physical game. The game had to stop every few minutes because of some player getting some injury. The ref didn't do a good job to solve the problem. He stopped the game when it was unnecessary, and he let it go inappropriately.
Well, Messi got a pretty bad injury in Chile game. I don't think he wanted to get another injury.
I trust Messi as a fan. The coach trusts him. His team trusts him. We don't teach him what to do.
Hope that he will get 100% recover and play better in next game.

If messi never played today then Argentina wouldve never scored a goal probably, messi took a corner kick and it leaded up to a goal, hes still the engine of the team and at least did something while not 100% fit

Clown comment by Herc. Caicedo was one of Ecuador’s best two players and got two man of the match awards before the Argentina game.
