G'day! In today's video, we take a look at the 2016 Holden VF Commodore - the last of the Aussie-made Holden cars. How does the SV6 hold up to other modern cars? What is the future for Aussie manufacturing?

Had an absolute blast filming this one! Special thanks to Monique for letting us film her car.

Be sure to subscribe if you like to see this kind of content, we are always keen to film more videos.

Cheers!

Very interesting mate. Great to hear from somebody that appreciates the logistical nightmare that is large scale manufacturing. As you say, a massive amount of parts - all delivered to the right spot on the production line, at exactly the right time to ensure the line never stopped.. The principals of Kaizen (continuous improvement) and Kanban (just in time, lean manufacturing) systems are really amazing.

I worked at holden for years, 13 of them, leaving at the end of the VE production. Today working in software engineering and the same principals that were the bread and butter of automotive manufacturing are being taught through software engineering, and IT in general... funny stuff really.

There's cup holders and a little table type thing in the rear when you drop down the back rest for the middle seat.

Rare spares cant be making that much considering they are essentially making items for a single market, an one that is slowly diminishing
