This is the third video I've watched of yours with this method and I'm literally flabbergasted. This is so much easier than all the carving and cheaper than having to use 2 cans of silicone to cover it as well. Im so glad i decided to just watch a couple more tutorials before buying my materials and starting my build

I’ve avoided creating my own backgrounds cause all the older vids I watched the foam dried, THEN they carved it, then added silicon and coco core etc. this way seems so much more manageable

I just did this with my 18x18x36 enclosure, it works really well

Is this just for bioactive enclosures? What if I just wanted to do it for a nice background? How would you clean it?

Try carving the foam and then using silicone next time. That gives you more customization for texture and ensures there’s no bald spots like there were here.
