Not really, It would work in the field in an installed door since the pins are spring loaded. The reason the lock is upside down is that I am not smart or flexible enough to pick it in the correct orientation. For Americans used to having pins on the top it feels weird to pick with the pins on the bottom. I can pick "upside down" but just have more confidence with the pins up orientation.

Looks like someone tried to snap the barrel by striking it, this is a common technique with the cheaper euro cylinders. Central part is weaker and can snap with a good strike, though Gege is supposed to be highly resistant to this.

Yeah, I think it might have been Emmett. Sorry to BOTH of you. I need to start labeling the locks.

Nice Bill.

Now, admit it... a few of those dents and ricochets were you "softening it up" in the Lock Lab, right? :D

Nicely done, have to admit that it took me about 45 minutes to pick a GeGe the first time

oh, thats a standard sort of lock ud get in a block of flats , where the interior of the door is thumb locked like shown in the video and external is key only, but the KEY will open the communal main building door ANd your property door, but every flats key is still different
