Man Rescued From NYC Train Tracks

When NYPD officers who were already patrolling Brooklyn’s Smith and 9th Street subway station heard that a straphanger tumbled onto the tracks from the outdoor platform, they rushed up the stairs to his aide. With the help of a good Samaritan who had been standing on the tracks, they were able to pull the man up to safety just before a train arrived. Inside Edition Digital’s Stephanie Officer explains the details.

Every 6 to 8 hours a person somewhere in the world is struck by a train either in a truck car or head on. Thos man should be very glad that officers where there to save him

Well done! For anyone else who encounters this type of situation, grab onto the back of the person's pants where the belt would be and lift. It's easier to lift up somebody this way.

A lot of tracks /platforms have a built in area you can lie in and the train is less likely to hit you in case you fall down there.

No offense, but that guy was dead weight. He didn't try to sing his legs up at all!! I'd be climbing that flat cement wall with all my strength I could muster. Glad they were there to help him though.
