As much as I don't want to say this, if I were the creators of the movie, I would just let the people who died die (except for Toby) instead of Jim going all the way back to the first episode of Trollhunters. It's like everything never happened.

BUT you can make your own seasons like season 4 or 5 or infinity and make your own character. We are NOT SO SURE if this is the end

I love everything in Tales of Arcadia, from TrollHunters to 3Below to Wizards! I hold these 3 individuals series is very close to my heart. The fact that this film was made. The middle finger is raised straight up. This whole movie was pointless if there were just gonna pull this last minute time travel bullshit to the beginning of Trollhunters. Jim literally killed all his friends in the original timeline. And, Jim giving Toby the amulet meant they were gonna cause all this pain and suffering all over again. The Whole Saga is literally pointless now. Jim basically fucked up at the 3 individual series’s timelines, meaning that all 3 series’s were pointless. Everything the characters have done over the years: Creating friendships, character development and arcs, forming families, saving the world countless times, and everything else; everything is pointless now. I except better from Dreamworks! As far as I'm concerned, this film does not exist. I was so emotionally and mentally destroyed by this film that I had to make my own version of it and move on. I've never seen a franchise discard years of character development and world building with such abandon.

Guys its not the end of the trollhunter bcuz when jim actually go to the past he let toby be the trollhunter but he knows hes the real chosen trollhunter so toby will need help eventually leading jim to his biggest mistake and hes gonna go back to the past again and he gets the amulet but change everything he has done (the biggesy mistake was toby will die.. again)

Ok I have a theory for the ending. It might be a coping mechanism for me, but also I have strong hopes about it. So, now that Jim went back in time and Toby supposedly became the Troll Hunter, I have a feeling the timeline will get messed up even more badly. Okay, let me explain why:

So, as we saw in the episode where Jim was not the troll hunter, that the world was completely doomed. Everything was destroyed and there was no hope left. Well what if this is what will happen and Jim will find a way to revert time back to normal? It was proven many times that Toby was clumsy and had to use a big ass war hammer with an enchantment and yet still never even won many fights. Could he use the sword of daylight well enough to defend himself against Bular who was after the troll hunter ever since the first episode? Probably not (also assuming they will face during the first episode and not in like same time as what it took to get to season 3, Toby was barely able to even run especially at first). This means it is more than likely just an another "second chance" for Jim and he will see the world collapse due to this change.

I have high hopes still. I don't think they would be so stupid to restart the series. Wouldn't even make sense.
