The conservation charity, Rewilding Britain, is going full force to rewild the UK, with the aim of turning an area the size of Greater Manchester over to nature within three years.

The Rewilding Network will bring together farmers, landowners and community groups, who are rewilding or considering too, and provide them with advice and practical based solutions. They are particularly focusing on creating a strong group of people that can share ideas and information to create a collaborative platform to learn and work from.

The charity launched the initiative to help reverse the collapse in UK wildlife, which has left 56 per cent of species in decline and 15 per cent threatened with extinction.

Rewilding Britain has been inundated with requests for rewilding advice in recent years. Over the last 12 months alone, they have provided assistance to 50 landowners, with 200,000 acres of land between them, as well thousands of small-scale farmers, gardeners and local groups.

It’s clear that people want to get involved in rewilding, but don’t know how to get started. The Rewilding Network will advise people about making space for nature and help them build new enterprises around rewilding. Much of the network’s information will be free to access. The Rewilding Network will be Britain’s first learning and action network dedicated to supporting people who want to put rewilding into practice.

I am making space for nature in my garden, have dug up a flower bed in my front garden
and planted 'Stinging Nettles' (got some funny looks )and will allow local plants to self seed

Taking land from workers will just cause hardship. Buying it will lose us valuable space to compete in a modern market.

Well once it becomes re-wilded, I for one will be trapping animals and using plants and trees for my needs.
