JJ Redick Made LeBron Touch Earth... But Is It A Highlight If He Missed The Shot?

JJ Redick talks about Chris Paul's fake pass the other night and why it shouldn't be celebrated as a 'highlight' because he didn't make the shot. He also brings up the time he crossed over LeBron James but missed the shot (and therefore doesn't count it as a good play).

I think that it depends on how much "highlight" it is before the shot. If you make a good-but-regular crossover and then fail, ok, maybe it isn't a highlight... but if you make something that is really hard to watch, something that almost nobody can do, it could be a highlight even without the bucket. For an extreme example: isn't the J-Will elbow pass a highlight?

For me that CP move is a highlight because, apart from him, almost nobody in the league is able to do that in a tight game. I'll say more: it's maybe a better highlight for me than the Garuba's one.
