This video's about the best free VST synths plugins (for both Windows & Apple MacOSX) that don't suck! I'm tired of people recommending free plugins they only use for one video! All these VST's are good for any genre of music & one for a limited time (the Kontakt 25 expansion deal will be over 1/1/2022!). So hurry up and scoop that before it's too late. Otherwise, you'll find much joy in using these plugins. No matter what style of music you make. If I missed out on one. Please leave a comment on what free synth plugins I should check out soon.

OBxd preset Round bass, in filter area of plugin turn the 3 knobs, cutoff, resonance, and Env Amt between 9 and 12 o'clock and it is a perfect synthwave bass, one of the best actually.

It still blows my mind that Vital has a free version. Such a great synth!

Just an FYI, Surge is actually older than Massive and was once a commercial competitor. If anything Massive was inspired by Surge which was at least a year earlier. NI was notorious for ripping off other companies back in the day and got sued by Spectrasonics for straight up including their patches in a sample library.

Good list though. You always keep it 100. I think MPC Beats should have an honorable mention

The Fury 800 is a clone of the Korg Poly 800. That was my first MIDI keyboard. It came out in 1983.

Fun Fact about the main coder behind Surge, he is now the developer of Phase 4 (based on Casio’s old phase distortion synths {the CZ series}) in Bitwig. And the latest version of Surge now has Odin 2’s filters.

Odin II has a great sound to it. Been using it more and more. Warmer than a lot of free stuff.

I have all of these since Im a free vst download fiend. I rarely use any of them. Ive played around with them and used vital in a few tracks(Really love vital btw) but Over the past few years I’ve bought way too many sale bundles and have a lot of solid choices when it comes to producing now. Good list though for freebies.

As far as free synths and even romplers, you can pretty much get a professional sound and pretty great emulations of vintage hardware (for the price, it's not Arturia ofc). OB-Xd, SQ8L, PG-8X, Fury800, Tricent (also from Full Bucket, it has an issue with the default sound output but other than that, it's great), Dexed, Surged, Vital, Synth1, redtron, VK-1, Pendulate, Podolski, Zebralette, Beatzille, Triple Cheese, Arminator, GR-8, Synthmaster Player, Iota Mini... You can still get Labs and BBC Symphony Orchestra from Spitfire, Kontakt Player, Sampletank CS from IK Multimedia, Sine Player and their libraries, Halion SE from Steinberg, Sample Science has great free romplers for some specific instruments, you can also get some free Computer Music magazine editions and get their whole catalog of free versions of renowned vsts and effects.

The options are nearly infinite rn, it's a great time to create music.

Dope vid. I'll have to look into some of those. Also, if I remember correctly, you're into DNB right? Have you looked into the Rhythm Source expansion from NI? If so, I would like to know your thoughts on it.
