Right now Ibanez is the best buy for the money. The one I just bought replaced my PRS 24 SE completely. The PRS niw hangs on the wall when I go out to gig, I'm rockin out that Ibanez GIO!

i can honestly see myself always picking up my gio every now and again. great series for cheap guitars and holds up well enough to some guitars that get steeper in price

I have one and I put chrome pickup rings on it to customize it. It's the prettiest guitar I have ever owned and sounds awesome. The sustain on the higher notes is a little weak though. On a note bend on the 22nd fret the sustain peters out very quickly in an awkward squeal.

I have two GIOs. One is a 6 string and the other is my first 7 string.

I really feel like GIOs get a lot of unnecessary hate nowadays. 15 years ago, yeah. They weren't about much. Poor QC was common back then. But, today? They're some of the best bang for your buck guitars on the market. They are phenomenal as a first instrument for anyone who wants to learn guitar, and they're also more than capable of being gig worthy. They're a single setup away from playing just as well as anything in Ibanez's standard model lines.
