4 signs your Monstera needs MORE sun

The Monstera Deliciosa is one of my favourite indoor plants and I love to get more fenestrations on this houseplant. Fenestrations are the splits or holes that your plant starts to develop with age and good care. The more sunlight this plant gets the faster it will produce fenestrations.

This plant can handle a lot of sun, including direct sunlight. Many of the problems with slow or small growth from this plant can be fixed by giving it more light. I'll take you through 4 signs your plant is telling you it needs more sun.

It’s a pleasure to come across somebody who’s passionate about something, but calm and knowledgeable. No hype, no silly faces, just commonsensical advice. I’m now about to chop off the top of my 4 separate monsteras, so I can start again. In the last, move divided them at the base, which worked, but after that they did their own thing. Basically, I had no idea what I was doing. I really like the ladder stake idea, but as I have 11 foot high ceilings (I live in England, in a 18th century house), this might be a step too far, especially with fitted carpets in the rooms. However, one of my monsteras is in a cold greenhouse, and despite a couple of hard frosts this winter, looks healthy. So maybe I’ll try a ladder stake in there. Thanks for your videos.

Wow, your videos are a breath of fresh air. In a world of unlimited resources, it's shocking how hard it is to find a good, concise video about plants. I've watched hours of videos and learned more in this one than all of them combined. Thank you! Grateful to have finally found your channel 🙏🙏

I've been trying to find out why my monstera put 4 tiny leaves out this winter! Thank you so much for the clear and concise knowledge in this video! We had a particularly dreary winter, so I'm hoping my plant is happier soon. I definitely have my moss pole in the wrong spot too

Thank you so much! I’ve had a monstera that I received as a gift, but got no instructions on how to care for it. In fact, until recently, I had no idea what it was called! I’ve had it for seventeen years and never knew until now that it could tolerate, and actually needs, more sunlight than I’ve been giving it. I’ll be gradually moving it closer to the window now that I know. Thanks again!

Omg just what I needed now… I inherited a medium size messed up Monstera, and now I know what to do to help it, especially with carefully putting it outside. Great timing too, tomorrow the first day of summer. Million thanks! 😎🌱🌞

I have my plant in a south faced window so it's getting sun. I'm a little scared about how big this mama is going to get. I finally found a place where it can
thrive and grow good. Thank you for your direct way of answering questions. Your channel is the best I've found without the nonsense talk others like to talk.

I’m working on 4 Monsteras as we speak and I’m hoping with the winter months ahead I’ll be able to keep the leaves large. I’m slowly working on grow lights now but I don’t know that much about them, also looking for some that are budget friendly. Love your channel.
