BMW Headlight $19 EASY replacement in 10 minutes Low Beam D2S D2R Xeon

2006 BMW 650i low beam malfunction error/ how to replace Xeon HID light bulbs in a BMW. This took me 5-10 minutes per side, it was a very simple job. Remove your wheel to make things a lot easier if it is your first time on a BMW!

Hey thanks so much for posting this. I would have NEVER thought to look in the wheel well for the access to the low beams.

Just a tip, if you reattach the wiring harness before locking the coil back on you will not be able to get it to seat. This drove me mad until I realised. The trick is to loosely insert the plug, then lock the coil onto the back of the bulb and only then press the wiring plug in!. Also, if you jack the car up with the wheel straight, the wheel drops on the unloaded suspension and gives you plenty of room to work, you don't actually need to remove the wheel.

So let me ask you this, my bulb was flickering and now completely went out. Tried to use the high beam but it won't work either, so does this mean it is still the bulb? BMW told me this would cost me $1300 to fix
