I Can't Believe Chalkzone ACTUALLY Existed

Chalkzone was one of the most unique nickelodeon shows in the history of the network. There's lists of chalkzone episodes that float around the web when ranking the shows from that decade but there was more to it than just the memorable theme song. Every episode introduced something brand new, and its art style was a breath of fresh air on the network. I can't believe Chalkzone actually existed, but it did, and it was great.

"Chalk Zone is the best show that Nickelodeon screwed over"
It sucks how many candidates there are for that award

Today I learned there were more than 2 seasons of Chalk Zone. Nickelodeon did a really good job at hiding that fact.

Thanks man. As co-Creator of ChalkZone I feel you've gotten the essence of Nick's strange Dislike/Hate relationship with ChalkZone essentially correct, although I would quibble with a couple of specifics. We were canceled at 40 epps while Fairly Oddparents went on to 120. (For example.) ChalkZone was far and away the most conceptually adventurous and fully realized series in Nick's stable at the time, even including the juggernaut SpongeBob. Why we are persona non grata at Nick can possibly be explained by why Nick itself is networka non grata to the entire planet now. Who drops a ball as big as Nickelodeon? Only Nickelodeon itself.

Chalkzone was one of those gems of a show that could’ve become a timeless classic if more care was put into it. It was fun, didn’t take itself seriously, and I absolutely wanted to have some of that magic chalk for myself. Even after all these years, it has a special place in my heart.

The show is a gray area of my memory. I grew up with the show, saw it all the time. I just cant recall anything other than snaps voice.

One problem was probably that Chalkzone encouraged drawing and creativity, not buying SpongeBob and Nickelodeon merchandise.

“There’s not a kid on the planet who didn’t want to find rudy’s chalk”

Man, when i was a kid i was obsessed with this show. I imagined how i would just leave this world and create whatever tf i wanted in the chalkzone. Gosh, those are the good old days.

I was up at 6am as a kid.
No one in my grade school believed me when I said new Chalkzone episodes were coming out at 6am

Nickelodeon passed up Adventure Time for Fanboy and Chum Chum; their judgment holds no value

All Ive learned from these videos is Nick has no idea how to handle good shows

god I would "KILL" to see that series arc with Rudy Growing Up and moving on from Chalk Zone it would of been a sad/happy end to the Series.

The best episode when Rudy "fixed" a bunch of chalk drawings and it blew up in his face. Dont fix other people's art. Great lesson.

Nickelodeon: *Stops airing Chalkzone*

Also Nickelodeon: *Makes Spongebob reboot which is disrespectful to Stephen Hillenburg*

This show reminded me to enjoy art. I was bullied a lot as a kid and this show encouraged me to keep doing art in the childish hope that my world would come alive one day.

Chalkzone, CatDog, Rugrats, My Life As A Teenage Robot, Fairly Oddparents, Jimmy Neutron, Danny Phantom, Hey Arnold, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some other classics they destroyed.

Chalk Zone was the f*cking awesome... and that theme is not going anywhere. I haven't watched an episode in like ten years and it came right back when you played the first measure.

Loved Chalkzone, the songs, the art style and story. I remember erasing a drawing on a chalkboard then saying bye have fun in chalkzone.
