Hello Paul, this was very sobering and thought provoking and sad to say the least.
I was born in North London and now 70, I no longer reside in the UK,
I moved to Aus in 1972, and the same is true here.
This is my view and my experience.

I was brought up in I suppose a quasi Christian environment, mum hated religion, dad never went to church although he did like high church, he did want me to go to Sunday school and I did go to church schools, my main connection was that I rang church bells which really has nothing to do with call to prayer, its actually a very technical hobby.

Back in those days Sunday was a lovely day, the shops shut, in many ways the establishment imposed a day of rest upon you, it was good, a day when you were forced to downtools and REST.

Even back then churches weren't full, most people had abandoned it, the war had ended, the last rationing ended in 1954 and people people had a bit more money.
Sunday was a day to go to the pub, go to the park or even a drive to Epping Forest or Hampstead Heath and of course we had TV, so why would anybody want to sit in a church and listen to some boring old vicar??
I could see the writing on the wall in the 1960s, a new religion was on the rise, the religion of hedonism, The Holy book was the media, the prophets were rock stars, Hollywood celebrities, anything popular, the house of worship was the shops.

The reason churches want change is because they are a business, no people means no money and so they close, any business will provide what people want to make money, there becomes a conflict of interest when the church is primarily about spiritual values.

There are now churches that simply put humans first, it has nothing to do with worship of God, some even have drag festivals.

Those churches that do well are happy clapper karaoke churches that sing songs that often don't even reflect Scriptures.

I gave church away, I simply can't reconcile what the church teaches any more and I spent 50 years as a committed evangelical.
Personally the Pauline doctrine of the church that I need a saviour is a cop out, , how odd that the symbol of the church is an execution device, the cross.
So glad Jesus wasn't American or we would have electric chairs lit up on churches.

I know what Jesus said, he said follow my ways, worship the one true God, don't call me good, only God is good.
He also said not my will but your will.

Islam makes more sense than ever before, it Muslims saying no to all this indoctrination of children by a woke education system.

The church should not change its values to appease the masses.
Maybe it will be Islam that saves Godless Britain which is whar GB now stands for.
It won't be by force though, it will be because more people have a spiritual void and science, logic and reason have no answers to this .

Where I live in New Jersey I’ve noticed that the only buildings that have an lgbt… rainbow and trans flags displayed outside of them are Christian churches, synagogues don’t have them, stores don’t have them, Indian temple ms don’t have them, government buildings don’t have them and mosques don’t have them, only churches.

It hasn't been a Christian country for decades. There are a lot of so called Christians most of whom do not attend church regularly (or at all) and don't read the Bible. We go through the motions of christianity like singing hymns at school (do they still do that?) and celebrating Christmas. But if you change the fundamentals of the religion then it is no longer a religion, but a liberalist cult.

I at the age of late fifties feel that I’ve seen so much change and so rapid in my life time that at times feels like unbelievable. Technological change to social, ethical and moral behaviors are huge. I feel I’m the generation who has seen both sides of the coin obsolete technology to absolute nudity, mind boggling.
The loss of christian faith, moral values are the signs of getting ready for the end times. I believe that the so called christian world (minis orthodox christianity who are still forcibly resisting against the new Christian doctrine) would fight against the forces of Christ.
