When you live on a yacht full time, it is important to get some time away from the yacht and the fixing, repair and maintenance works that comes along with “ life of a yacht”

This year we went to Mauritius in the Indian Ocean to visit friends, family and explore Mauritius from the shore.

We did lots of hiking, swimming, mountain & road biking - after training for 4 weeks, we embarked on a circumnavigation of Maurice ( Mauritius) on road bike, following the coastal roads.

We did the 250 km of coastal roads in 5 days, stopping to see friends and explore the rich culture and historical sights of Maurice.

We went clockwise starting from Petite Rivière at Port Louis. Originally, we had planned to split the 250 km into 4 legs, but the opportunity to visit friends on the east coast made us split leg 2 into two short days.

We had a awesome time cycling around Maurice, amazing beautiful coastal roads, great scenery, good food and friendly locals - we loved it.
