In 2154, The Rich Create Their Own Luxurious Planet

In the year 2154, humanity is sharply divided between two classes of people: The ultrarich live aboard a luxurious space station called Elysium, and the rest live a hardscrabble existence in Earth's ruins. His life hanging in the balance, a man named Max (Matt Damon) agrees to undertake a dangerous mission that could bring equality to the population, but Secretary Delacourt (Jodie Foster) vows to preserve the pampered lifestyle of Elysium's citizens, no matter what the cost.

The ending is basically Elysium society collapsing since the ‘new Elysian citizens’ will eventually exhaust its resources, effectively bringing Earth’s problems to it.

First, how is the Elysium being powered? I'm assuming Nuclear energy
Second, how come the rich ain't using programs to encourage workers to work harder, such as promising the use of the med bays if they meet a quota [Makes more sense]
Third, If the med bays can do such wonderful things why not sell a worser version of it to the public for high prices [Instead of healing everything it can somewhat heal or delay diseases]
Fourth, if everyone is a citizen of Elysium won't people try to take over it and commit retribution against the citizens of Elysium for abandoning them on Earth?
