Suleyman was known for being cruel, short and overweight man.He suffered many health issues and was gone most of the time on battlefields.Hurrem must have been smart enough to win his heart yet the archives of Venetian ambassador described her as a petit chubby not very pretty yet loud and domineering woman...since Suleyman was very moody and melancholic she knew how to control him...go figure
