Saw Jude in the knockout stages in the champions league and he was outplayed everytime. He had a good season in Spain but at the highest level he gets found wanting. Just because Madrid play him as a 10 doesn't mean he is a 10. The reason he moved into a 10 is because Madrid don't have space for him in that midfield. Kroos, Tuchameni, Modric, Valverde and Camavinga. But for England he should be playing next to Rice. He has the legs and it should be Bellingham and Rice together with Foden in front.

He spent a year at madrid basically being allowed to poach for Madrid without doing any major CM work. Now he's in CM being asked to do more and he's not doing it. He is overrated based on how he's playing that position right now, its lazy.

Stating that he plays the same game as in RM is a bit wild i'd say, i agree that he underperformed last 2 games but 3 players are contesting the place of the number 10 on the pitch (Foden cause he doesn't feel well on the LW, Kane who drops constantly, and Jude who plays an attacking 8 kind of play), the 10 space is so overcrowded in that team its insane, to prevent that last game he played half the game in LW thats just terrible, its as bad as playing Guehi as a number 10, I'm not trying to say that Jude's performance is okay but i think the fish stinks from the head, you can't expect him to be good playing as a LW and contesting a number 10 place when 2 other players are there, neither can Foden perform on 100% when 2 others are contesting his preffered place on the pitch and nor Kane can if he doesn't have the pacy wingers that he could supply his passes running back. This is not a system, this is just making players who know 1 thing play others trying to play Foden as a winger, trying to play Kane as a whatever i don't even know what Southgate wants with him, and sometimes playing Jude as a stiff, stationary playmaker, sometimes wanting him to be a LW sometimes an attacking midfielder sometimes a defensive midfielder, sometimes a second striker. I think simply Jude is such a mess there because he is not even told what to do he is like the ultimate "do whatever is needed on the pitch even if you are supbar in that"
