I'm 24 now and training to be an mma fighter and professional philosopher of religion. I played regularly age 12-15. All the old friends are gone. I lost my old account and now have a crappy level 31. I'd get back on an average of twice a year from age 18-24 just out of nostalgia. This almost made me cry. It's lost that magical feeling. Being an adult has it's merits but if I could just have a day where I'm 14 again and playing online with all the old AQW friends I would do it. I tell myself I'll see at least some of them on the other side when this life is over.
Edit: I'm level 44 now. There are some good changes to the game since I played regularly when I was younger, and more people seem to be returning to the game. I joined a crappy guild, but left it and joined a better guild. I'm studying philosophy and theology and things are going well, and I'm training mixed martial arts. But nonetheless, this video made me sad and nostalgic. XD.

This made me really emotional, back when it was a simple game and not shoved with Micro DLCs and botters up the ass. I remember investing so much time in this, it was honestly one of the best flash games I've played, my bro grinded for Nulgath items until he reached lvl cap. The excitement when a mod joined the server to speak or say hi. A shame to see it die but the memories I'll cherish forever.

Of all the 25 close friends I made in aqw, none of them are playing anymore.

this makes me cry. i remember the old days. all the old friends i once had, throwing house parties, actually showing off a house you designed, and building it to match themes. dancing and questing with friends because even the simplest of bosses was hard to kill on your own. a time when there was a community not just yulgars of silence

This game used to be full of adventure and randomness. Wear whatever the enemy drops and shit. Now its just about rarity, boring grind, wiki this and that no more sense of enjoyment when discovering drops/asking other players what drops can you get from this monster. I really hate relying on wiki a lot it killed the fun for me and I realized too late.
