Thing about Sylas is that he's VERY bursty and VERY ability rotation reliant. Once he blows his stuff on the initial combo, there's nothing else for him to do except walk around and take damage or get off 40 dmg auto attacks. So champions like the Irelia, Yasuo, or Yone who have the capability to take very long trades and fights with their autos... Sylas is just at a disadvantage early. Next to no way for Sylas to win, especially once executioners is built.

To answer your question fake isnt washed up. these people like pzzzang like irelking have 1000s and 1000s of hours on one champion only. So they can beat anybody and everbody with those champions. However one tricking for your whole time playing league does come with its downsides. 1. you can never ever be in pro play ever (cause you can only play one champ) 2. when your champ gets banned you become a high diamond player kr. 3. when you beat someone like dopa faker or chovy when one tricking you arent REALLY better then them. Because at the end of the day you can beat them with 1 champ while they can beat you with almost every champ in game. (this applies less to dopa because he just plays orianna and tf

When it comes to pro play, the only team right now that has taken down Faker is the LPL and the LPL just beats everyone.
