W.A. Mozart - Lacrimosa (Saltykov), Piano Sheet music

The Lacrimosa of Mozart's requiem (KV626) is arguably one of his most famous works. It has been transcribed by giants like Liszt, Klindworth and Thalberg. This is a lesser known transcription by Saltykov, which I like a lot, because it brings out a nice combination of the grandeur and the tristesse of the piece combined. As an added bonus: it is a bit easier to play then the other mentioned transcriptions

McBizzle is right, unfortunately, because he’s rather rude about it. But you can both watch and listen to Sudbin and see/hear that what he’s playing is significantly different than the sheet music in quite a few instances.

In other parts he does play the Saltykov version exactly. And where he differs, it’s usually by doubling a line with octaves and/or putting the melody in a middle rather than upper register. So it seems he started with Saltykov and beefed it up quite a bit.

Did we ever confirm whether the performance is actually Saltykov's version or Sudbin's. What's the consensus?
EDIT: It's definitely Sudbin's performance. I just played the two videos side by side.

The audio is different from the sheet music displayed it seems. Are you sure this is not Sudbin's transcription being played in audio?

The performance is done by pianist Yevgeny Sudbin live from Verbier and it is his own arrangement, not Saltykov.
