I really do think that Jurassic Park III deserves way more love, it is a truly underrated and great film to this sequel.

Nothing will ever beat the original Jurassic Park from 1993. It was a monumental film in cinematic history. The second time I saw it, it no longer gave the scares.

I didn't feel the suspense or tension at all in Fallen Kingdom it felt hindered by the cheesy characters and poor humour and The Lost World is the sequel that handled both humour and suspense perfectly with Jeff Goldblum's line delivery and timing!

When you described Jurassic Park: Dominion as "Mission Impossible with Dinosaurs" that oddly really worked for me. I enjoyed that movie a lot more than I thought I would

My current ranking:
1. Jurassic Park obviously
2. The Lost World: Jurassic Park, love the opening and the set pieces including the truck scene, love the cast almost as much as the first, but the highs aren’t as high, also acrobatics
3. Jurassic World, like the theme park meta commentary and enjoy it as is but it’s dumb fun junk food (Battle at Big Rock is somewhere below here and above Fallen)
4. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, quite love the first act on the island and the Dino final act but not the cloning stuff in between
5. Jurassic Park III, short but sweet, despite Alan Grant, the spinosaur, and the lean runtime don’t feel much from this one, prefer Lost World
6. Jurassic World: Dominion, despite the set pieces and nostalgic union of characters too insulting to my intelligence

Honestly? I loved Dominion. It went in a different direction compared to the other movies and I still enjoyed it. But it definitely wasn't perfect. What they should've done? Split the movie in two parts. The first part be about how the dinosaurs are all over the world, how humanity has to co exist with them along with the Biosyn plot of having them seem like the good guys, be in reality be the ones causing damage. Also shouldn't have cut the Prologue for the start of the film. Have the first part end where the OG cast meets Claire and Owen. Than for the 2nd part, they work together to take down Biosyn and save Maise and Beta. That would've worked.

I don’t think Dominion lied - we got to see how life is like with Dinosaurs on the mainland, the world, the consequences. The new reel, Owen herding Parasaurolophus, Claire & co combating poachers, the where the captured dinosaurs go & the black market for selling species/underground fighting matches.

I also think you missed a bit, and some of the “dumb” critiques are completely unfair. Ellie investigating makes perfect sense - as Ian says in 1993 - she’s tenacious. She’s always been about doing the right thing. She specialises in plant science being a (paelo)botanist. Grant comes along *because* his expertise are still surrounding animal behaviour, dinosaurs, and they’ve dealt with companies like Ingen prior. Also as they say themselves in the film it was for *them*. She wasn’t happy alone, neither was he .

Plus the others weren’t recruited by the CIA. Franklin merely showed that *Barry was working with the CIA as French intelligence*. Owen is good and old friends with Barry, offering a favour is legit *nothing new* in a film like this.

The laser following raptors is a) nothing new b) part of the incorrectness of the critique of firstly no dinos on the mainland & secondly the consequences of that c) the handler even takes a shot at both hybrids & weaponised dinos, she’s merely selling them.
Every talks about originality, doing something different. This film is about corporate espionage - because the franchise has legit always been about those themes. All of Critchon’s work has always been about man playing god, genetics, missuse of technology, man abusing nature, corporate espionage. That’s legit what this film is. Jurassic Park is a film about corporate misuse of genetics *with dinosaurs in it*. This film is a film about corporate misuse of genetics *with dinosaurs in it* as well.

Not too long ago I rewatched the original Jurassic Park, which I hadn’t seen since I was a kid. I didn’t love the franchise because it was pretty much just movie after movie about dinosaurs eating people for two hours as far as I could tell, but I was blown away at how incredible a film the original was! It was one of the most intense thrillers I’ve seen with stunning effects, brilliant directing and absolutely phenomenal acting! You couldn’t be more right that it is leagues beyond all the others, which are all crude, pale imitations of a fantastic, timeless film.

Remember how you felt when you first saw the credits start to roll after Top Gun: Maverick? That's the same feeling I got with Jurassic Park seeing a helicopter flying off into the sunset with legendary John Williams music playing. The same feels. I just knew I just watched something truly great.

The OG JP is easily the best. But the LW JP is the one I enjoy the most, so much T Rex action and a simple story. Thats all I want and it delivers in spades.

The two best are definitely Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, but clearly the original is better. It’s aged incredibly well(especially the special effects) and honestly my only complaint is that Ian doesn’t really do much or affect the plot in many ways. It’s a great movie.
And I think that first Jurassic World is underrated at this point—people hate on it so much. Even though it’s not perfect, it is pretty good imo.

I love all the films.

1. Jurassic Park: This is my favorite no question doubt. (10/10)
2. Jurassic Park III: This is the one I've been watching when I was little and I never understood the hate while I do now but I always defending it. (8/10)
3. The Lost World Jurassic Park: Honestly I appreciated this movie more and I understand the hate it gets but I honestly loved what Steven Spielberg was trying to do and In my opinion I liked it, The Trex in the city was good, The Tall grass was awesome and scary, I actually didn't mind Jeff Goldblum as our main character. (8/10)
4. Jurassic World: This used to be my favorite but I didn't like the cast as I used to Besides Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. (8/10)
5. Jurassic World Dominion: Man the story really dragged it out but the best part where The cast and The Dinosaurs themselves and visuals are awesome. (8/10)
6. Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom: This literally the same formula from The lost world. (7/10)

I honestly really like Fallen Kingdom! It's gorgeously directed, and even though aspects of the plot are definitely stupid, it's just less stupid than the other 4 films (minus the original of course). My ranking goes:
