Sucre is named after Antonio Jose de Sucre, who led the independence movement in Bolivia. Sugar in Spanish is "azúcar"

So in short, Bolivia has :
1. World's highest Capital - *La Paz*
2. World's highest Lake - *Titicaca Lake*
3. World's Largest Mirror - *Salar De Uyuni in Winters*
4. World's most dangerous road - *The Death Road* (debatable)
5. World's largest salt flat - *Salar De Uyuni in Summer*
6. World's driest desert - *Atacoma Desert*

Jesus, what an underrated country.

My mother is from Cochabamba. I've been to Bolivia so many times and love it more and more every time I go there. Proud to be half Bolivian 😍😍

Even though Sucre does mean sugar in french. The city of Sucre was named after el Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho Antonio Jose de Sucre (Great Marshal of Ayacucho Antonio Jose de Sucre). A Venezuelan who fought throughout South America for independence from Spain and was the second President of Bolivia. Also Bolivia was named after Simon Bolivar (first president), another Venezuelan responsible for the independence of Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela and even Panama which was part of Colombia those days...

You made a big mistake. The town of Sucre doesn't take its name from the french word for sugar. It was named in honor of Antonio José de Sucre, one of the heroes of the independence of Bolivia and also its second President.

I was looking for a video to show my friends about my country for soooo long! You definitely nailed it. The only thing missing is beautiful Cochabamba with its almost perfect weather and best cuisine overall.

Anyone else noticing how the videos on landlocked countries are his best ones? 9.8/10 can't complain/learned heaps, would be cool if you could have a world map with the countries that you've already done filled in.
