I’m on Social Security and Medicare. I’m 71 years old and cannot afford cataract surgery. It not much ($300) but I can’t afford it. I hoping food and gas prices go down because it’s always something when getting older. It would be nice to have a simple 15 minute surgery that NEEDS to be done instead of becoming blind.

I don't think that donating to a Mangione defense fund would be a waste of money. No matter how much money he has, he will most likely be found guilty and made to pay for his crime. A HUGE defense fund however, would be big news. It would keep in the public discussion the revulsion that most people have for the health care crime syndicate.

His take on fire Insurance is completely out of touch. I live in California (in the valley) where it cost us all about $5, 000 -$7, 000 a year to have fire insurance and it's not because "we're not supposed to live here;" because of environmental issues. We live here because we have agriculture jobs Copernicus, which means we're the ones that provide you meat and vegetables! So, if you want your groceries, love, you need us to live out in the country!!! Maybe you should be more sympathetic, that we have to drive our kids 30 miles to the nearest high-school and have insane fuel bills to make sure your whole food is stocked.
