Here’s the two dirty facts of the matter as I see them:

1. The church is more concerned about the “spiritual standing” of its members than it is in rehabilitating and protecting victims of abuse by its members. Especially when it is committed by priesthood leaders.

2. The church, and most organized religions, when forced into a corner, will choose the survival of the organization first, by any means… before the welfare of human beings.

The church defines things differently. A victim is the person who is accused, not the person who had the harm done to them.

Church pays a LOT of settlements. A lot! I talked to a man who got really sick on his mission & he almost died because they kept ignoring him and denying him leaving early. Long story, but very wealthy UT family & they were offered a large sum.

I certainly paid lots ..When I joined I thought Jesus knows me inside out so I should strive to be honest and true and repentant..Strive is the word .
