Fun to build, takes some manual dexterity. The box says 10+. My 10 year old required some assistance - mostly with understanding the instructions and starting screws. My 7 year old was baffled and could only cheer me on as I did it for him. I'll hold on to his second kit so he can do it himself when he's older.

I needed a Philips screwdriver with a fair sized handle to drive the screws in during assembly. Smaller screwdrivers that seemed appropriate for the small screws did not allow enough torque.

Some screws are supposed to fit in hard to reach places. I used a screw grabber to place them. Just grab the screw by its head, place it and let go, then go to town with the screwdriver:
