Her looks aged pretty well. It’s even more impressive that they were from a lot of design challenges. I’d like to see the new seasons try to steer away from professional designers-provided looks and switch back to design challenges. I’d rather the queens sew and throw things together than all compete with trying to outspend each other.

For me this was the season that cemented Drag Race as a cultural touchstone. Some of the most popular queens to ever appear were on this season; of course Raja and Manila, but also Alexis and Yara, the "make the most of every opportunity" winner Shangela, trailblazer Carmen Carerra, and even Mariah, Delta and India. Because of these amazing entertainers we have a season 14, an All-Stars 7 and successful franchises all over the world and growing. All my respect to these queens for making great television and changing the world in a small but important way. 🙏

Raja is the blueprint. There is no Violet Chachki, Courtney Act, Bimini, Krystal Versace, Miss Fame, Aquaria, Naomi Smalls, etc. without her. That’s not shade to any of them, but Raja was the first one to elevate the drag on that runway. She was the first one to bring high fashion drag to Drag Race and she stepped up the game to a level that required future queens on the show to step up THEIR game now that the bar had been raised. We are where we are today because of Raja. It’s because of Raja that drag queens can’t wear store bought mall clothes (ahem H&M) on the runway anymore. She is and will always be that girl.

Raja's season was the first and only season of RPDR I have seen completely from start to finish and the reason why I fell in love with the show. Drag has changed a lot since then. I can't wait to see her again along with the other queens.
