Our Civil War Georgia/Tennessee tours are over, and it is officially time to wrap up our trip with some preservation success stories back at Lookout Mountain.

The American Battlefield Trust preserves America’s hallowed battlegrounds and educates the public about what happened there and why it matters. We permanently protect these battlefields for future generations as a lasting and tangible memorial to the brave soldiers who fought in the American Revolution, the War of 1812, and the Civil War.

We visited Chattanooga, Chicamauga, Atlanta & Vicksburg Last summer so these videos really helped pull the story all together for me. Now, why don't you come to the Real Western Theater where the War really started? The one west of the Mississippi in Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas & the Oklahoma Indian Territory.

My 3rd great grandfather Samuel E. McMullin fought here after Vicksburg, with the 31st Missouri regiment..the Chattanooga campaign, we have a copy of his war diary. So grateful for your work. We plan to visit this summer with our kids.

Another great video! Please support the American Battlefield Trust! We must preserve as much as we can to learn from.

It’s always great to see the crew visit the actual spots we help preserve.

I would love to see them make a trip to the Trans-MS. So much Civil War history in Arkansas and Missouri that simply gets overlooked.

My family visited Lookout Mountain in 1970. If there was I Civil War battlefield I told my dad we had to go. Is the Confederama still there? They had a huge miniature battlefield of the battle of Chattanooga. Was awesome.

I visited Chattanooga and the other battlefields in Tenn. back in '07, from Northern Virginia.
Really enjoyed them. Notice that Garrey is growing a beard.
