The official product name is "GA-BARNIE" as listed on the Gladen-Mosconi web page. As a bit of trivia, the original Neumann KU 100 binaural microphone head was affectionately referred to by the company as "Fritz". But I don't believe that "Fritz" was related to any acronym. It was just a "friendly" name.

The Acronym that Gladen-Mosconi assigned to "BARNIE" is a bit of a reach for

Great product, but if BARNIE only turns on the DSP via usb, and doesn't need the source unit on, how does is analyse/correct the input (for example phase issues on Toyota)
