The series is an epic on the dynamics between men and women. Cem, as usual, smacks us in the face so sweetly by picking up, embellishing and coloring the bitter truths that the ears are not ready to hear yet, softening them with jokes so that we don’t experience a reaction shock. There are 30 different types of comedy. Some like slapstick, some like anecdotal comedy, some like situational, some like blue comedy, etc. That's why there's no point in comparing, competing and stressing over comedians and their productions. :) Ershan was not understood by many people and it was found odd, bc it is “a first” in its field. There are truly brilliant and hilarious dialogues, philosophies, references, etc all over. In addition, for the first time in Turkey, an adult comedy in which women exist with their femininity was made. In a culture where women's femininity is suppressed at this level, it's like a revolution. Only Cem Yılmaz would have dared to go this far against taboos and I hope Ershan would come back with more movies. He is our buddy now :)

Cem Yilmaz is like Patek Philippe. He is high end, complicated, have many sub-dials in his comedy. You will find many hidden jokes and implications when you watch his works hundredth times after years they were published. He loves to hide himself and his ideas in different layers. I cannot compare his work with any world known artist. He and his works is that unique. Anyway.. You can never get enough of him. Enjoy Ersan Kuneri!

Ahahaha I just binged Ersan Kuneri, couldn't get away :))) It's so funny to see Turks who do everything with their kids trying to make adult movies and series :))) Ersan is one-of-a-kind so far. Lovely, carnival-like production. Gives a lot of clues on highly conservative Turkish culture, understanding, world view, background, history, etc. You gotta watch Ersan first if you are planning to go to Turkey guys and gals!

Ersan Kuneri was one of the character from movie called “G.O.R.A.” I don’t know if this series gonna be good but most ppl who watched g.o.r.a and other movies of Cem Yilmaz probably don’t find this series odd. So if u’re planning to watch this series I suggest u watch the movie for affiliate with this but it’s not necessary at all🤷🏼‍♀️
