Hello Nerds! Welcome back to my channel!
A little over a month ago, Turkey changed the name of the country to Türkiye (meaning Turkey in Turkish language). The decision to change the name was to better showcase the traditions and culture of the Eurasian country.
Another reason for the name change to Türkiye, was to differentiate the country from the bird & the Thanksgiving/Christmas meal, to which it was earlier compared to!
According to the Turkish president Erdoğan, the name Türkiye represents the culture, civilization and values of the Turkish nation in the best possible way!
