Cafe Navarino closes after 54 years

Navarino was a genuine neighborhood gem with fantastic food and people. Peter and Steve were always welcoming to me. I met so many interesting characters in the very many hours I spent there either reading or writing code between 2002-2006. I woke up this morning in my place in New York and for some odd reason I thought about Navarino and just found out it had closed in 2016 thanks to this Gazette article. Good luck to you Peter, I hope you have success in your next endeavor, you created a space for unique memories in Navarino for a lit of people.

I just found out yesterday when I went there hoping to have one of their delicious treats.
