Who's excited to see Allison perform on the Grand Reopening Tour!?

I *love* the dresses the singers are wearing! The lemon print seems thematically fitting, like using the song as a "lemonade from lemons" situation.

This song would be in a early 60’s teen musical. It’s perfect

Now everyone who performed in this video is really talented, but as a piano player, I personally think the pianist deserves more attention

Why isn't no one talking about how its all in one take, with no cuts??? Instruments, acting, dancing and singing, everything went perfect! A truly great performance! Amazing!!!

I remember being a teenager when this was a hit, during the summer of the 63, good times and music

This is exactly how songs in the 60s are— gloomy heartbreak stories but with ‘happy’ music and melodies. With talk-singing breakdown in the middle. Brilliant!

The vocal techniques are on point. Effortless singing, such a relaxed and pure tone!

I mean original song has this gloomy mood into it, but this version sounds like she actually got it all off and gets a brand new start! I LIKE IT!

The original makes me cry, this one makes me wanna groove all night. So weird how one song can give us so many different vibes. 😍

this makes the lyrics sounds sarcastic and screaming "I'M OVER YOU!" kinda vibe and I LOVE IT!

Alison Young is flawless. Not a movement or glance is wasted in this - and that is before we get on to her singing. Superb all-round performance.

Whereas the original felt pained with bitter undertones, this one felt joking, healthy, and playful. I imagine that this is the version you sing to your ex when you've ended things well and he comes introducing the new girl to you and she's immensely insecure or something.

Okay but Imagine this song being sang like this in a musical where the main girl works at a diner and her ex walks in with his new girlfriend. She sees them walk in and sit at a booth and she walks back into the kitchen but looks through the open kitchen window to see them laughing. This is when the song starts to play, she then goes into her own little world where she flaunts around the diner singing this song dancing around her ex and his new girlfriend. Then during the bridge, it becomes a single spotlight with her slow dancing with her ex then she suddenly pushes him away just to finish up the song and in the end it flashes back to her staring at them through the window. I feel like that's how it would play out😅

Everyone involved in this video has done great work, but I'd like to particularly congratulate the backing singers for nailing such a technical gig.

As an Olivia Rodrigo song lover and a big fan of 60s music, I LOVE THIS SO MUCH SAYING I LOVE IT IS NOT ENOUGH

Omg imagine if this kind of song actually existed back during the 60s, the industry would've been turned upside down

We broke up a month ago
Your friends aren't mine, you know, I know
You've moved on, found someone new
One more girl who brings out the better in you
And I thought my heart was attached
For all the sunlight of our past
But she's so sweet, she's so pretty
Does she mean you forgot about me?

Oh, I hope you're happy, but not like how you were with me
I'm selfish, I know, I can't let you go
So find someone great but don't find no one better
I hope you're happy, but don't be happier

And do you tell her she's the most beautiful girl you've ever seen?
An eternal love bullshit you know you'll never mean
Remember when I believed you meant it when you said it first to me?
And now I'm pickin' her apart
Like cuttin' her down make you miss my wretched heart
But she's beautiful, she looks kind, she probably gives you butterflies

I hope you're happy, but not like how you were with me
I'm selfish, I know, I can't let you go
So find someone great but don't find no one better
I hope you're happy, I wish you all the best, really
Say you love her, baby, just not like you loved me
And think of me fondly when your hands are on her
I hope you're happy, but don't be happier

Ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh

I hope you're happy, just not like how you were with me
I'm selfish, I know, can't let you go
So find someone great, don't find no one better
I hope you're happy, but don't be happier
