As a kittwn owner who lives a country where i can gobto the vet every week for checkups:
1) brush their teeth once a week
2)trim their nails, just a snip at the end
3)add water to their wet food so they drink enough. Start at a little, build it up
4) clean their ear with just a baby wipe and your finger once a week
5)take them out in their carrier as much as possible, not just to the vet. Just put them in the carrier and walk for five minutes and come backbif you have to.
5) give them a tall cat tree they can climb

12:19 - One thing I do that helps my cat with using his new furniture (like a cat tree or a bed) is I only give treats to him in that area for awhile, so he associates it with good vibes lol. He started to use his cat tree and window hammock on his own after about 2 days by doing this. ☺

Showing my cat high places was my holy grail! I got him when he was 3 months and he was so undersocialized to the point that if I looked at him he would run away, and any time I picked him up he would be shaking and his heart would be beating so hard, but as soon as I got him up high he would stop and he’d get excited and start purring.

Super good advice on the flea preventative. People think they can't get them if thei rcat doesn't meet other cats, but fleas live outside in the soil too. I give my cat Credelio (it's a pill that they chew). Worm preventative is also important, especially that there is no cure for heartworm in cats, and all it takes is one mosquito bite. 👍

I just found a little guy (not so little) in the streets and i fell in love with him, so i had to take him home. now i’m here, with a golden retriever and a kitten with no name yet, going to buy all his stuff and learning to take care of him the best. thank you for the video! You gotta be careful with pet insurance because they don't cover everything. I would suggest saving that money in a savings account instead, then you will have the money if you have to go to the vet. And yeah, i feel the pain. My Merri just had a urinary blockage. 5 hours at the vet : $1900 🤦‍♀ Giving them 1 part apple cider vinegar in 3 parts water 1-2 times a week can prevent crystals from forming in their bladder . Wish i had known that before, but now i know. 👍

I agree with the plastic cone and the surgery suit. Cats don't like them. The plastic cones really hinders their eating and drinking because they have smaller snouts. The suits I noticed kind of hinders the way their back legs move. 2 of my cats actively tried to remove them while the others were so stiff I was first worried if the suits were too tight. So I also switched to fluffy cones. They didn't like it at first until they realized they use the cones as pillows. One of them don't even want to remove the cone.

I’m adopting two kittens soon (they are both siblings who do not want to be separated so my family agreed to adopt both) im doing my best to be prepared. One of them is very playful, the other is also playful but more calmer. I proofed my house so the kittens won’t get into harm. I’m nervous but excited 😭🥰❤️
