Phu Quoc to Pineapple Island, Vietnam | World's Longest Cable Car Ride

Fringed with idyllic beaches and with large tracts still covered in dense tropical jungle, Phu Quoc has changed from a sleepy backwater into a favoured escape. Beyond the resorts stretching down Long Beach there's plenty of room for exploration and escaping.

An Thoi Islands are just off the Southern tip of Phu Quoc, these 15 islands and islets are a paradise of white sand and torquise waters. They can be visitied by boat but we thought we'd try the cable car to Pineapple island instead.

With a length of 8 km, the Phu Quoc cable car route is the longest non-stop three-way cable car in the world recorded by the Guinness Book of World Records!
