China's understanding of geopolitics and strtegic thoughts are deep rooted, historical, realistic and cultural. It is not now that China percives India to be competitor but it has always been so due to which Nehru was deliberately shown his place in 1962 which brought an end to his jumping for leadership in Non-Alignment movement. India is their neigbour, very large in size, population and resources having immense potential to rival China in all fields. India has great influence over Tibet with Dalia Lama and his govt being in India with sizable Tibatan population. Now, India is rising as economic and military power. What more is required to be a rival and be threatened with.

Sir, need a video on the china spending on more budget on internal security than external, and usually internal party rifts provide the lid on social tension, power struggle in single party country like China that is not appearing after 20 th ccp, total capture of power by xijing ping, glue to ccp to it's people changed from ideology to performance improvement of it's citizens. In this context how likely the economic slowdown due to internal structure, global recession compounded by failure of BRI and targeted efforts by west led by USA will be on the China. Would like to know from people perspective of Chinese, not a ccp action agenda.

India's influence in Asean was way head of China in ancient times. Our merchant and religious preacher had shaped their society. Only difference this time is China is scaring them, by dominating in seas and trade which our rulers had done centuries ago by attacking Srivijya Empire and by levying taxes in Malacca strait. South China sea has lot of polymetallic nodules which China will not let these countries to exploit. What is the significance of Sabang port for us?

Den Xiaoing had the right ideas about hiding strength and biding time. One can see the wisdom now even more.

Xi Jinping was a man in too much of a hurry. Probably showed the teeth a decade before they were really ready. Now the inevitable decline has started. Ironically the seeds were sown by Den with his brutally enforced one child policy.

Hope we follow Den's suggestion better. There will be more resistance for us so having China as Western opponent will help. We may get a window of 5-10 years.

Can't help being cynical about these Beijing talks. Could be a tactical pause from China this year only due to G20 & SCO with India presiding. China must not be seen as belligerent more than necessary and rather be seen as conciliatory. It does mean we won't see any action in Ladakh this April. But there is always next year.

Most of Chinese INDUSTRY AND industrial cities lies around South China sea, i.e on its front door
I guess China will not deploy all of its force on war with India on LAC.
